Tom Eplin successfully created the role of Jake McKinnon on Another World back in February of 1985 and in July of 1999, he took the character over to Oakdale on As the World Turns.
Mr. Eplin was awarded in the Outstanding Actor category at the Soap Opera Awards in 1995 and in 1996 in Outstanding Scene Stealer category. In 2001, he was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Lead Actor.
